Sheets panel

I'm brand new to Onshape and can't find this issue elsewhere

I downloaded the 6 week trial

I'm on a Mac

I've been on Vectorworks for 10 years with Archicad and Autocad prior to that

I can't figure out how to open the Sheets panel. My current Vectorworks document has around 100 sheet so that is kind of important

Ctrl+s does nothing.

Other key combinations I tried do not work either

The little icon (pic ) doesn't exist (possibly because I can't open the Sheets panel)

Thanks for your help

Happy Holidays

if you imported x_t file that is a 3D Parasolid file not a drawing and has no sheets.

You will only see that in an on-shape drawing tab. If you are in a part studio or assembly it won't be there.

Did the import produce a drawing with multiple sheets or did it produce multiple drawings with 1 sheet each?

If you can share a link to your document it may be easier to ascertain what's going on,

I Exported an X_T file from my Vectorworks . When I imported it I got this

I tried to import my whole file from VW - .vwx but apparently that doesn't work

OK I apparently need to be in a drawing tab as opposed to a part studio

How do I get to that?

    Thanks

Still messing around with it Not exactly sure how I got to it or how it works but I did just get a sheet

Started a new drawing then did some stuff. Haha.

    Keeping on. More questions later.

    Thanks

OK so I see that there are Part, Assembly and Drawing and I did get a drawing going with a sheet(s)

Not for sure how I got to it but I'll figure that out

Unrelated question —- Can the document units be in fractions?

  • Oliver_CouchOliver_Couch Member Posts: 229 PRO

Yes, you can set the units to Decimal Inches, Fractional Inches or Feet and Inches.

I'd strongly recommend doing some of the training materials to get you up to speed before trying to tackle anything in earnest.

    Thanks.

Yes that is good advice and what I do plan to do.

Just jumpstarting my exploration with some questions.

I'll be checking out the Learning Center in the coming weeks
