Can't access public custom features in Onshape education enterprise

I've been using Onshape in the high school class room for the last 5 years and really like it.
Ran into a problem today: Some students with education enterprise accounts aren't able to see public custom features made using feature script. But some students can see it. They are all organized in the same class and I have the classes added to the "Allow Access to Public Documents" section in the settings.
The custom features
we are using are "Laser joint" and "auto layout" that helps in make boxes with box joint joinery. You can see that there is no "public" option and if I search on this with the correct search terms ("laser joint" and "auto layout"), nothing comes up. It's a global setting that is off by default. You will have to ask your admin to enable it.
