Clearly I use this everyday, but it seems to have stopped working with onshape specifically. I am using Firefox. It has always been a little annoying as i have to start the server and refresh the browser each time I close down the browser, which is frustrating. But it's now just stopped all together. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I have raised it with support.

Since the wired one here still works without any issue (Win/Fiorefox), I suspect it is something local, with the wireless connection rather than with the browser/driver.

I have both wired and wireless, but I haven’t been using the wireless in a while. I’ll do some investigation.

I actually ran a new driver update from 3DC and it seems to have fixed it. I'm using Chrome, not firefox. Thanks, @S1mon . However still having to reboot the '3DxNLServer' each time I open up chrome. I know Onshape don't like fielding queries with this device, understandably. But it's an extension of my arm! Anyone CAD'ing all day needs one.

For a while on my Mac I had to restart that process a lot to make the controller work. Lately it’s been more stable, but occasionally I need to restart the browser and/or server process. Buggy as hell but essential, as you say.
