my sphere is not a part?

In adding parts to an assembly, a simple sphere I drew, is not showing up as a part at the bottom of the features column (the label says Parts (0), surfaces (1), so I can't import it into my assembly.  Any ideas why this is?

You must have selected a line to revolve and not a region so you created a surface sphere. Currently we do not import surfaces into assemblies. You could use thicken tool to make it a solid then Insert it into your assembly.

Hi Lougallo,  Yeah, that's what I did, revolved a line.  I changed to solid and it worked, and became a part.  Thanks for the useful tip!
