Changing feature parameters when onshape won't load because regen time

I'm running into a problem on a custom feature I'm developing. Part of the feature is calculation intense, and uses a pattern operation to generate many copies of a body. The number is settable through a parameter, which means it is possible to enter a value that makes the regen time be unreasonably long. I imagine this problem would apply with a normal pattern feature in onshape too.

When onshape is in this state, and you load up the document, nothing loads for the part studio. You can't access anything that would let you change the number back to a lower value. The pause regeneration button does nothing (I think because regeneration starts immediately upon opening the document), and I can't find any other way to access that value.

Is there any way to recover from this situation? I did discover that in my case if I leave it long enough (5-10 minutes) it eventually loads. But is that guaranteed, or could I enter a number so big it would never finish?

It times out after 10 minutes. From the Documents page, you can open the Versions and history (right-click or in details panel on the right) go to the previous change, right-click and "restore to main" to undo your last (bad) action.

Thanks, that did the trick. I forgot there was a way to expand the version history to see individual changes. I'm also just seeing it now that you can choose which tabs are restored and which aren't, which was my other issue since I had made some changes in another tab afterwards.

Though it's weird, even restoring or switching versions will hang for a bit when it's in this state, which makes it take a lot longer to fix than would be ideal. It would be nice if there was a way to directly pause regeneration when you open a document, or even populate the Features tab before fully regenerated so that you could click on one to edit it. The pause regeneration button could even cancel any regeneration processing that had already started.
