Why Can I Not Edit Category Property?

colin_starker933colin_starker933 Member Posts: 31 EDU

I already posted about this, but in the wrong forum.

Category property is disabled and read only. The parts themselves are full editable by everyone who needs to edit. We have custom categories that must be used. I can't find any info on where this is controlled.

https://cad.onshape.com/help/Content/EnterpriseHelp/Content/permission_schemes.htm

…appears to only cover Enterprise. We are on Educator.

https://www.onshape.com/en/resource-center/tech-tips/tech-tip-mastering-permissions

…doesn't explain where to find permissions.

https://www.onshape.com/en/resource-center/videos/managing-custom-properties-states-permissions

…doesn't mention editing category as a possible permission. It seems there is no such granularity with permissions.

What am I missing?

Sorry, I wasn't clear in my OP. I already have access to custom Categories so I may be wrong about our subscription. The screenshot shows I've created a custom one, "Screws". The specific issue is that the category property is disabled when editing a part.

I don't know, looks ok to me. Can you open a support ticket? I would be interested to know why this is.
