how to create a Torodial Helix on a Pretzel

Hello everyone
I have this pretzel shape and I need to cut the outer surface of it into a coil shape so that I can wind a flat copper wire 5mm wide and 0.25mm thick
Total 22 windings required
I can't find a way to make this coil and cut the pretzel to complete the task

Check out the "3D spiral" featurescript, I think it might do exactly what you want…

@MDesign and @eric_pesty are correct. You can use a combination of custom features to do this quickly.
To see how it was made, double click the features in the tree. It will let you open each feature and see what was selected and which values were used.

To add custom features that you don't have to your toolbar, just right click the feature in the tree, then open linked document.

i found the next solution you posted to MDesign and modified it to reach my rerquired shape:

i think it is solving my issue now, however i still want to leatn best way to do it easily
also i do not understand why it is so simple to add Helix to a Cylinder and not to Pretzels… :)
