Revolve cut isn't work on a new offset plane

I'm still learning how to use Onshape (I started yesterday, and I am still new to parametric CAD software). I'm having trouble with a resolve cut, and I don't know what is going on.

I created a profile for a resolve cut in the middle of an object that I am modeling, and it worked great other than I had it on the top plane rather than an offset plane and it cut half of the shape out of the bottom of my object instead of the middle. I switched the sketch to the offset plane so that the resolve profile is on offset plane in the middle of my object, and now resolve cut no longer works (everything shows up red and nothing cuts when I try to apply it). However, when I switch the profile back to the top plane, it has no problems with doing the resolve cut.

I have been trying to find some tutorials and other information that might be able to explain what's going on here, but I can't find any useful information. What am I missing or doing wrong?
