It's not possible to tessellate a sphere with regular hexagons; a Goldberg polyhedron (think a soccer/football) is the best you'll get.

Another name for these shapes is Dual Geodesic Icosahedrons, which I only know because I found this excellent featurescript that someone wrote that does every polyhedron ever. (Or at least the ones on this website) It also lets you choose whether you want solids, surfaces, edges, or vertices as an output which is immensely useful.
