Mold Parts with Outline and Boolean

oscar_marquardtoscar_marquardt Member Posts: 2

my Problem is, that i need a male and a female Part. The easyest way to do this is to take the original part, extrude its outline and subtract the part from the extrusion to create the male part, however as soon as the Geometry becomes a bit complex, the boolean stops working! Have you had this problem too or do you know a solution? I made an Example to show the problem: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/f61b056e1bbcfcb15c314fcd/w/5c1ba1f792deea406adfc079/e/2f21f28279d0e04044000cc1

I tried several different approaches, but they all have to involve a boolean of the same kind. With this problem it is somehow allmost impossible and way to complicated to create this kind of Molds
