Two problems when it comes to fitting parts together for my Wing

I am trying to design a wing and currently I have designed an Aileron and I want to fit it into my wing and rotate it using Assembly.

My first problem is trying to properly fit the Aileron rod/hinge into the wing with assembly. Since the Wing is tapered, the hole I designed is also tapered to follow the direction of the taper, so when I connect the hinge to one end of the wing using mates it just goes straight through the other end of the wing and I have no clue how to make it follow the direction of the wing aswell.

This is what I mean, visually. I mated the back part of the wing with the back part of the hinge, however the rod doesn't follow the direction of the wing, hence it does not join with the hole at the other end. Is there any way of fixing this or a different way of approaching it?

My second issue is when actually mating the Aileron with the rest of the wing using a Revolute mate. It's a bit difficult for me to explain but when I do mate it as shown in the video below and rotate the Aileron up and down, for some reason it rotates it from the centre and not from the front of the aileron, making for pretty weird up and down movement.

I had to compress the video as it wouldn't let me upload it. I am not too sure how to explain it well but on the video it shows that the aileron is rotating up and down weird when I configure the mates as shown. Though I am not too sure if it's just an error with my design or I am supposed to configure mates a different way so both ends are accounted for.

    I see. You got to define an axis. Ideally, that would happen in an early stage (roll back the tree as necessary) when you sketch out the airfoil. Add a point in each sketch (root and tip) to define where you want it. These two points will help you to align the MCs you want to you use for the rotate mate. Also will the axis help you to design the clearance required for the aileron to move without part collision.

    For more in-depth analysis, it could be helpful if you post a public link to your file.

    (BTW.: That loooooong axle for the aileron is not realistic. All aircraft I know (and I'm a pilot) use a number of hinge points along the axis, often even laid out as ball joints, and that's for a reason: They are much easier to install and more reliable to work under load.)

    I am a bit new to CAD so I am not exactly too sure what you mean by defining an axis, could you explain in more detail or link to a tutorial that may help? Also what is a MC?

    Also I know that my wing is probably unrealistic, I have not been able to find much videos on how wings and stuff are assembled online😭💔
