HELP: Tangent constraint removes sketch face.

Hello, weird interaction I'm fighting: Connecting a line to spine using a tangent constraint removes the face of the sketch. Unsure if it's a bug or something I'm unintentionally doing is causing it to happen.

Any suggestions?

    I've seen a similar thing once. I think it had to do with self intersection at some level. It disapperaed when trimming off the internal curves of the enclosed 'face'.
