Placing holes on a curved surface with the hole tool

alan_smith900alan_smith900 Member Posts: 1
I am struggling to understand how to place, for example, a tapped hole on a cylindrical model. I've tried a few approaches, e.g. creating a plane tangent to the cylinder at the point where I want a hole and sketching a point on that plane but I just can't get it to work. The manual covers how to use the hole tool very well except on how to actually locate the hole.
Would be grateful for a help.

Alan
