Is it possible to insert assemblies in an assembly?

Is it possible to insert an assembly into another assembly without ignore the mates in the first assembly?
When I try this it looks like the mates in the first assembly is ignored so all parts in the assembly are floating.

brucebartlett Member, OS Professional, Mentor, User Group Leader Posts: 2,141 PROThe mate's should not be ignored but any fixed parts in the first assembly will be ignored. Try removing any fix's in the first assembly and replacing with mate's and the model should behave as expected.5
