Can a Tetrad shape be created by "sewing" four adjacent sketched triangles forming a closed space into a Body?

Likewise, can a collection of closed faces be made into a Body?

I don't know about sewing four adjacent triangles together, but if you were to extrude one triangle and the use the extrude>intersection feature to remove the excess material I believe it would have the same result.

No, there is no "sew" function for faces or sketches. You could (as suggested above) extrude a triangle with draft that would give you the same result.
