adding a weight to a part or assembly when the materials are unknown or too complicated.

How can we add a simple total weight for a part or assembly. this is needed for purchased parts and items that are too complicated to accurately draw and assign materials to all pieces. it would be a bonus to have a user entered Center of Gravity for known assemblies where you only show a representation.
