Dimension from a point on a plane in a sketch to a different plane?

is there a way to create a dimension from a point to a plane like the height to a point in the z direction is 6" above the top plane?  see the dotted blue line in the pic

Hi @stewart_johnson - if the plane is not perpendicular to the sketch plane then your only option is to create a plane offset by the distance you want the point to be (before the sketch so you can reference it), then you can make the point coincident with the new plane.

@ stewart_johnson  , Select required point and plane then bottom right corner of the screen shows the min distance between plane and that point.

thanks for the answer but I am trying to create a dimension that i can specify.  not measure the current distance
