x - y dimensions to centerpoint of arc

I am working on a drawing which contain arcs. Radius dimensions are no problem nor is placing center-points but adding linear dimensions to the center-point just doesn't seem to work. I've tried the point-to-line and point-to-point tools without luck. What am I doing wrong? BTW, I'm using FireFox on Ubuntu.

The radius dimension seems to have an especially large "active area" which was overlaying the arc centerpoint preventing the point-to-line dimension tool from working. I deleted the radius dimension and the linear dimension tool worked - then I re-did the radius dimension.
