Extruding not working

Hi, I am having trouble extruding these links in the gripper part. I am pretty sure it is all bounded, but for some reason not working, not even a circle that I tried on that sketch. Here is the link to the part:

It's because your sketches weren't closed - they should have a shaded face if they are good to extrude. I couldn't work out where you went wrong, so I just re-sketched the links using the slot command for the outer edges and "use" for the holes.

@Narayan_K looks that way, but I bet if you tried to reproduce it any other sketch you wouldn't be able to!

@ NeilCooke , By deleting or converting one line the entire sketch become closed.Is it a bug?
