How do I add a custom property like Cost to my part properties?

    You can't yet. 

    This is desperately needed, hopefully, we will see custom properties soon. 

    As a workaround, I have been using underscores on the part name or the in the description.

    @david_7, Currently this facility is not available in Onshape. You can vote for this improvement request which is already raised by some other user. Please vote for this improvement request by visiting below link.
