how do I create a new part in Part Studio?

I am trying to create a new part in a imported project, it only let me edit the mating part. I need it to be a stand alone part.

If you create an extrude that intersects another part it will default to Add (in the UI) select New instead.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI5
