Importing into Version

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if it was possible to import a file into a new version of an old part studio? In other words, our molder sent us some minor changes for a weld in a sldpart file, and we would like to import that sldpart into a branch of our old part studio for the same part. Is this possible? I cannot find a method of doing this. Thanks for any help.

Are you trying to replace the part in the assembly? Or some derived feature in another part studio? Or In-Context?
As far as I can tell, when you import an object. It is new every time. If you referenced geometry using the imported part. It looks like you're S.O.L.
