Reference images

Hi,

is there a way to import images as reference images into Onshape? E.g., when sketching something, it would be nice to be able to project a photo of the object being modeled to the sketch plane.

Thanks and regards,
Christoph

Thanks for pointing out the workaround ;-)

The ability to import a images to two faces (e.g., Front and Side view:  assuming you have images of two views of the reference  object) in order to then be able to replicate that object in model space, or alternately, to create interface surfaces between a newly created object and the reference image surfaces would be extremely useful.

I hesitate to mention it, but this is currently possible in Fusion 360.

Second best would be to be to be able to place the imported image on a non-active background layer.
