How to copy part studio and keep the context

I have a part that is designed in context.  I need to make a variation that also depends on the context.  If I duplicate the tab or copy to clipboard and insert back it doesn't keep the context.  Is there a way to copy the context as well?

Short answer, no. But if it is only a small variation, create a copy of the part (using transform/copy in place) in the same part Studio and add further features or use move face to make the mods.

You could also branch off of the current workspace and make the edits you want in the new branch.
