Insert DWG of DXF files in to assemblies?

Hello,
Is it possible to import imported DWG or DXF files in to an assembly to use them as reference for a design intent?

First, you would have to import it into a part studio, then insert into the assembly from the insert dialogue. Once inserted mate to correct position or if already positioned fix so it doesn't move.

Now my problem is that the DXFs are too rich or complete to be used inside sketches...
Thank you
