Merge beams?

I'm trying to merge the 2 vertical beams in the blue circle (gray and light blue). The gray beams were created from a different sketch than the blue beams (they were created with an extrusion). I have tried the merge beam option, but then it merges the miter too and does not combine the vertical beams like I want.

In those cases you will have to use a regular Boolean/Union as a feature after the beam feature (or edit your sketch so it is all one line).Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA5
