Is there a way to store a dimension in a variable for use elsewhere?

I know it is possible to define a variable and use it in dimensions, but I need to do it the other way around.
I have a length that is the result of various other constraints, and I want to use this to calculate the angle of a "flattened" cone, so that the length of the arc is equal to the circumference of a circle with diameter equal to this particular length.

Maybe I or @konstantin_shiriazdanov can help. What are you trying to use the feature to measure? Any specific questions?
