Manage documents related to products that differ due to pipe diameter (DN size)

Does anyone know what is the best practice to manage documents related to products that differ due to pipe diameter (DN size). Do they be kept in the same document as a special version or in different documents?

    Depends on your end game.

Here are 2 off the top of the head solutions:

Are you just looking for a profile to extrude?
        - I would say use the "Beams" feature script : https://cad.onshape.com/documents/e15c2c668d138f01242d0c80/w/0664d65a957c7bfba7cfbddd/e/bd6831589391741e327fec75

Are you trying to create a library of standard parts, with parts numbers etc.
        - I would say create a document called "lib_Pipe" or something fitting for your naming conventions.
Then Model all of your pipes and fill in their properties.
Create a version when you are finished, then derive the parts or insert as necessary
