I am trying to update to a newer version template. I see there is a closed IR but I can not see how to do this?

I'm assuming you are looking to hot swap a DWT to change the drawing, which we currently cannot do.Jake RamsleyDirector of Quality Engineering & Release Manager onshape.com5

I've added you to the improvement request for this for tracking.
In general, we opt to be a bit aggressive when it comes to marking improvement requests closed. The thinking is that it is better to inform when new functionality comes out that improves the related workflow, even if it doesn't fit 100%, as it could be adequate for the current situation. If more is needed, users can always submit feedback again and that will help us prioritize doing follow on work.
