I have 10 yrs AutoCAD and 10yrs Solidworks experience, started with OnShape yesterday.
I want to insert a bolt and nut into my assembly, where can I find it ?

For hardware have a look at the partner apps, there are a couple of free good ones that'll allow you to insert anything from a washer to a toggle clamp. I also have a suspicion one day this will be native.
For beams have a look at @NeilCooke 's beams featurescript. It has common profiles built in, but also allows you to create custom profiles should the need arise.
