Why can't I have views of different parts, or assemblies in the same drawing?

It doesn't appear to be possible to create a drawing with views of different geometry. Or at least I cannot figure out how to do it.

I know standard practice is to create a unique drawing for a unique part/assembly, but this shouldn't mean a CAD system should enforce it.

Beautiful, thank you. I revisited Onshape Help and this subtlety is documented was not obvious to me. I would have thought the option to reference different data would have been found under the pull-down. The UI makes more sense to me now. Thanks again.
