Offset not working with DXF files

Hi community
I have encountered some major problems designing a cookie cutter with stamp/ejector in onshape. I used a DXF file as sketch and wanted to offset the outline in the sketch to separate the cutter from the stamp/ejector. But this does not work. Any suggestions or workarounds?

I would turn it into a solid and then boolean it with an offset from the ejector.
