Hiding derived mate connectors

Is there any way to hide mate connectors from derived parts? I can hide mate connectors that are created in a part studio, but if I derive a part into another part studio and it contains mate connectors I can't hide them. I end up with a ton of abandoned mate connectors near the origin.

Yes, click the eye next to the Derived feature to hide it.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEAI5
