Edit Sheet Metal in Flattened State

Hey,
Is it true that it is currently impossible to edit a Sheet Metal Model in its flattened state?
Or create a flattened state first and then bend this flat sheet?
We have an intern that needs to add specific geometry on a bend to create a special kind of leaf spring. This geometry needs to be added in a flattened state.
Thanks,
Mike

You may be able to get it to work with the sketch wrapper FS or some other workaround but ultimately we need to be able to sketch and add cut features to the flat view and have it auto update the bent part.

Coincidental, yesterday I needed the same enhancement.
Therefor I posted the improvement request https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/8489/adding-a-hole-across-a-joint-before-bending-so-unbend-and-bend-back#latest.
