Sketch did not regenerate properly

Hello how do I get the sketch to generate properly?

A red line appears, It wouldn't delete; other lines wouldn't delete. Can I go back to an earlier version this month to begin working from there? How can I do that ( an earlier version )? Please help.

You need to select/modify the points rather than the lines

So once I click on a prior state it becomes the active sketch? Is there anything else I need to do?

The only difference in workflow is that now the 'restore' button is accessed by right-clicking a history item, rather than opening a gear menu.
