I have a bunch of different shapes to be water jet cut.  Is there an app to do the nesting?

I'm playing with that one but was hoping for something better.

The issue is that water jet shops want DXF files with no boxes or lines other than the part outlines.  I can't figure out how to do that.

You can select a surface of the plate or part, right click and select export as DXF/DWG. You can export to whichever version of DXF works best for their nesting program. This method requires you to export each DXF, then the water jet guys will have to do the nesting with all the files.

Still climbing a steep learning curve... 2D Nesting app does work but only starting from a multi-part part studio.  Then one must make a 2D drawing without lines or borders.  What seems to work is to use a size D sheet then delete all lines, boxes and text leaving a bare sheet which is then exported as a DXF file.  On-line DXF viewers show a clean DXF file with no extraneous lines.  I'll have to wait 'til Monday to see what the Water Jet Shop says.
