Internal Cylindrical Cam Track

I trying to model a cylinder/barrel with an internal CAM track around the Inner Diameter. I figured I could create and model a tool in CAD to Boolean/cut the cam track out of the barrel. To do this I need a solid cylinder with a raised CAM Track around the outer diameter. Using that, I would model a barrel around the tool to cut the inner diameter of that barrel.


Inner Diameter need to be 1.810", Cut width needs to be 0.1575 x 0.2362.

I need a procedure and some screens shots of someone performing this task.

so what is desired law of motion? anyway you need to start from creating spatial path of moovement of the rod relative to the cam body. sketch wrapper FS possibly can make it

Thanks! I want to be able to rotate the "inner slide guild" forcing the cam followers to move along a cam track which make the rod index out and then retract. So rotation to linear indexing and retraction.
