Is there a way to create this effect on onshape where the letters are bubble shaped or the edges are soft?

    Yes. Create a sketch with the text center lines on a plane with an offset from a body's face. Then remove-sweep a circular cross-section of the letters along the centerlines, set body a s target. The radius of the circular profiles must be greater than the sketch plane offset. Done.
