Hello ONSHAPE community ! ;)

Anyone have a idea how to create BOM for multi body sheet metal part studio?
I have created multi body sheet metal part studios and i wondering how i may present it on drawing for shop floor guys.
Because of its complexity move it to assembly is not a option. I started from surface model and convert it to sheet metal parts.
Any ideas.

Yea that group mate is a real life saver. It will actually speed up your assembly in some cases: https://forum.onshape.com/discussion/comment/38234

Dropping parts in assembly and group mating as John just showed is also very fast to do on mobile. I had a large imported assembly and was able to put all the parts in assemblies, group and fix, all on my phone while traveling (wife driving) and I think the workflow was as quick or quicker than in the browser.

Here is a 2 and a half minute video where I create an assembly from 1320 parts: https://youtu.be/SXnqxH0zjUI
    Nice work :+1:

    You have a few options

    ~Create a composite part

    ~Boolean your parts together

~Create an assembly, set the assembly to "show assembly only"

Because this creates a needless operation.

Ex: I have a part studio that has 4 unique parts in it. If I insert it into a larger assembly, even grouped, in the BOM they are listed as individual parts.

So now I have to create a new assembly that has the same parts as the part studio, and then I have to create the 10+ configs that the part studio has, in the sub assembly that was created from the part studio, then I have to do that all over again in the top-level assembly.

Or I could just insert the part studio, and have it called out as its own item in the BOM. But that functionality doesn't exist.
