Gears in Assembly
jože_marinko Member Posts: 4 ✭
Made some gears in Part Studio. Import gears in Assembly Tab and connect them with Revolute mates. Gears are different, so I must rotate them to put teeth together. OK. Then take a Gear mate, specify gear ratio - and gears turned to position before rotating.

If you want to rotate a gear and modify it's "reset" position, edit the mate connector (located under the revolute mate) and add a Rotation about Z.Director, Technical Services, EMEA5
Try to connect Small Sun and Short Planet 1 with Gear mate (ratio 2) and you will see that this two gears will rotate !!!??? The teeth are NOT touching correctly. What to do?
