Can ANSI holes be exported to STL?

I've created a test plate with 1/4in 20 through holes and selected "tapped". When I view the STL file the holes

By specifying a tapped hole, Onshape is calculating the drill size and applying that to the model. If you want the actual thread for 3D printing then you will have to model it yourself using a helix and a sweep.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA5

Why specify tapped hole information in modeling, when none of it translates to the drawing. No hidden line representation of the threads. No defined tapping depth. Just a hole. What a waste of time. Now I have to return to the model figure out what I defined and write a note for manufacturing.
