Why won't my loft guides work?

In this document https://cad.onshape.com/documents/e2280f6ae9ff233bf39c4a43/w/eaa4cd2376f9ed0516d72aa8/e/13d08a48b7ef944b575d899e I am unable to get the guides in the sketch "vertical guides" to be accepted by Loft 2.

The dialog complains that the guides do not intersect each profile boundary, but with constraints showing, they appear to be properly pierced.

What am I missing?

Hey Jon, I took a look at your document and was able to find a solution to the problem. It appears that the upper guide in the "Vertical guides" sketch had a spline handle that was in the same plane as the base sketch. I simply deleted the horizontal constraint and the sketch solved. In the screenshot below I circled the fixed spline point.

    Tim,

Thanks very much for the reply. I think I follow, and I see the horizontal constraint on the spline handle. However, when I delete the handle the sketch still doesn't solve.

  • Hi Jon,

I think Tim meant for you do delete the constraint, not the handle itself.

    Hopefully this helps.

Yes. My bad. I deleted the constraint, not the handle. No joy.
