How to import mates in an assembly?

I'm trying to import an Onshape project into a different one but when I import it, the mates in the original assembly are not in the imported assembly. Is there a way to import the whole assembly, mates included?

Hi Grace, when you say import a project, did you export it (download) to your computer then use the upload button? When you do that you are stripping out all the features and exporting just the solid. If you want to use an assembly in another Document, create a version in your source assembly, then in the target document use insert (in an assembly) and browse to your source document.

Hi Grace, I've got the same problem. Even proceeding as Mr. Neil says, the mates don't work.
