Boolean Subtract fails to return valid part

Hello,
I have created a part from a rotation of a sketch that intersects another part. When I try to subtract the rotation from the other part, it doesn't work and I couldn't yet find out why.
It says that Boolean Subtract failed to return a valid body and marks some area red.
Any idea what I could do about this?
Thanks for any help

Hard to tell from the image. Could you post the doc URL?Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0

Looks like you might have some degenerate points/knife edges. If possible, overbuild the tool bodies so they go past the target body instead of being line-to-line or face-to-face.1
