using loft along a composite curve where the 2 faces to connect are in different planes was working and now it doesnt work, ie document will no longer generate giving me errors I cant understand
"a guide has no adjacent faces to match tangent or curvature to"

Try using Sweep, instead of Loft

Hi, as @mbartlett21 suggest a sweep is good here:-

Only if we would have contol over profile twist along the path, but we don't.

Good point, I'd not appreciated that was critical here, I's assumed it was a hose guide.  It needs to be a loft then.  Sorry.

That's just workaround. From feature tree it looks like this loft used to work before, am I right?

Here is the last state when the loft worked

compare Shows slight geometry modification of Sketch 8 causing self-intersection in Loft 2. I suspect it is due to the guide no longer passing through a vertex of Sketch 8.

I suggest using pierce constraint in sketch to tie two curves together.
