Adding flange to split....

Take a look at Flange5. I get an error about trying to put a flange on a split. My cheeks were originally drawing as 1 piece but would not fit on a 5x10 sheet. So I thought I'd split the cheeks for a better nest. I can't just butt the two cheeks halves together and weld without warping badly. So I'd like a 1" flange there the two cheek halves come together for a standing seem weld and also benefit from extra strength provided by the bends.
What's the best way to go about this and still have the heel and throat remain one piece.

Sorry @kent_henderson it's still saying it's a link - make sure you go to the share dialog and pick "make public"

@kent_henderson The split converts into a rip in the sheet metal model, its edges can't be used to create flanges. Could you use tabs instead of flanges? Alternatively. You can thicken the halves in different sheet metal Model features, then flange can be added.

I split the solid before converting to SM. All is good.... except I'm faced with 2 other small dilemas. I'd like the throat to be one piece and I'd like to flange the heel similar to the cheeks. Any ideas on this?0 -
To get rid of the rip, you can use moveFace on one of the edges and move it in0
