Copy part studio

Could anyone say if it is possible to copy a part studio from one document to another. I have tried the copy to clip board command but cannot find how to paste from clipboard into the new document. could someone
point me in the right direction please.

    Also Jake, As it happens no associativity is what I need as I am only trying different things out, However now I know it is the derived feature I need to keep associativity. Once again thanks for your help  Brian

    Thanks Jake, Yes this is the best way forward, have tried branching before but in this case never gave it a thought.
