Could / Should Gitflow and Release Management coexist?

I'm currently looking into Release Management and wondering if the Gitflow and Release Management processes could / should coexist?
Does the inbuilt Release Management process supersede any point to using Gitflow? Or would there still be some point to still using Gitflow?
Does anybody have experience with this?

I've watched the two very good webinars on Gitflow and Release Management in detail ...

... but it's left me with a bit of confusion about if / how the two workflows could / should work together.

We are working to create more learning materials around the release management capabilities for Pro and Enterprise users. Those two tech briefings are still valid for Standard users, who may want to achieve releasing an object with a more manual method by setting the properties. You will see a new release management class available soon, and from there we will be able to create more material.

Yes, both can and should be used. Versions and Branches are document specific and Revisions are item specific. The coffee grinder design in this document (https://shapepath.onshape.com/documents/56727de8172f2c5bea3decc8/versionsAndHistory) goes through several idea branches then at key moments in time when parts need to be manufactured, they are released, without locking the entire document up.
