Barrel Cam, Tangent Mate, Seam from Wrap

I can't Wrap a Profile that is PI*Diameter long. It errors. So I have to shorten it a bit. This causes a seam that breaks the Tangent Mate on rotation.
Is there any way to work around this?
I had to make the Tangent Mate to an edge. For some reason it won't let me use the part surface. But that I can build around...

I straightened out your sketch to ensure both ends were tangent to each other, then used Replace Face to close the gap, then used the edge (not the face) for the tangent mate.

If you put an extra seam on your profile sketch, it should wrap the way you want, and produce a result with no seam, and no need to shorten:

A cam is only useful if there is vertical variation... If you use a spline or multiple segments you end up with the breaks and the tangent mate halts. The only thing I've found that works at all is cutting a cylinder on an angle with a plane, but that is a very limited case for a cam. Interesting that you did find a way to get it to wrap without a seam, but that could easily be accomplished without the wrap command. I've also tried compound curves, with no luck. Ideas?0
