How do you switch the direction of a butt joint in Beam feature?

I recently added to Beam feature to my Onshape interface and it is a great tool. In all the instructional videos I have seen on this feature you switch the direction of a butt joint by dragging an arrow that pops up next to the vertices. In my case the arrows don't appear which keeps me from changing the direction of the joint. If anyone knows why the arrows are not visible when I create the butt joints that would great.

The arrows should appear when editing the feature - click on the arrow to flip the direction.Senior Director, Technical Services, EMEA0

Yes, that is what I observed others doing. For some reason the arrows just doesn't appear when I create a butt joint. I can successfully create the joint but I am unable to flip its direction. I was hopping there was some setting or a property I had wrong that was keeping me from seeing the arrows.0

Hello, recently I went back into Onshape shape and tried the Beam feature again and the arrows appeared! I can't figured out what exactly what changed but now I can use the beam feature fully. Thank you for your input.0

The flip arrows don't appear for me as well.
Example: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/eb025d912c15d30c7b734756/w/6d55e6ead4f95cde5e4915f2/e/6148819802c61d3afd7fc147
The butt joints are "coped" but that is not the desired outcome, even with cope deselected.
No flip arrows at the vertices for the butt joints.0 -
I just noticed the flip arrows dont appear for square, rectangular, and pipe. But the arrows appear for angle and S beam.0

Make sure you are using Neil's implementation of Beam feature from this document. There are a lot of public copies, around. E.g. @rocketbob - your document links some-one's copy.

Hi I recently had the same problem. I discovered that the butt joint arrows appeared in an ISO square tube section BUT (pun intended) DID NOT WORK in an ANSI square section. Can somebody from the Onshape team investigate this?0
